Day SIX Day six! OK, ok... so my eyes were bigger than my stomach. I had a lot of stuff planned yesterday that did not get completed. Hwoever, I consider it a learning experience. I learned how to properly saw to length (every single one of my studs that I cut was too long by anywhere from 1/4 to 1/2 inch). I did my original measurements from floor to ceiling. This is a bogus measurement because it does not take in to account any irregularities in the floor (ie bumps and cement chunks) nor the foam base. I also learned that when you drill the holes for the concrete screws, make sure they are deep enough. I had 2 that were not and it shot the Pillips drill bit to heck. On a positive note, I did get the sill plates down for the east wall and one of the top plates. The rest of it WILL get done today! Plans for today: frame all four of the east side walls... really!
