Day TWENTY-THREE I have a pretty ambitious day planned for today. With any luck, I will be able to finish everything in preparation for drywalling. I know, I know... I have had some days where I had big plans and they fell through, but today is different! This is going to be the last day of Phase Two (framing). Tomorrow will begin Phase Three (drywalling). Insulation will be shoved up in the stub closet areas to help insulate against sound and bugs. Plans for today: buy an interior door at Lowes. install it. finish framing around the door and the stub walls around the electric box. buy a new roll of insulation. install it in last spots as well as above the electric box and above the water meter. install the plastic sheeting (aka vapor barrier) on all walls and also to seal the ceiling of the stub/closet areas (to keep bugs out).
